The PowerLine rope from Gallagher is a high-quality rope for livestock and horses. This braided rope is suitable for short fences, both permanent and mobile. With a diameter of 5+ mm, it is highly visible and has a large contact surface. This reduces the chance of animals walking through the fencing and injuring themselves.

Excellent conduction thanks to copper and stainless steel

With a resistance of 0.18 Ω/m, this rope is an excellent conductor for distances up to 500 metres. The PowerLine rope is also widely used in longer fences to subdivide fields. The good conduction is due to the tinned copper wire running through the centre. Additionally, five stainless steel wires are braided into the edges, ensuring the entire contact surface is electrified.

Durable and resistant to damage

Due to the braided structure, the PowerLine rope remains more intact during regular winding and unwinding and when damaged. It also stretches less than cheaper twisted ropes, keeping it under better tension and requiring less maintenance. This reduces the risk of injury since a well-tensioned rope breaks more easily. The risk of entanglement is also lower, for instance, if a horse rolls near the fence.

Tensile strength and controlled breakage

With a tensile strength of 330 kg, the rope does not break under falling branches or pushing animals, but it will break if an animal runs into it. Ensure the rope is taut and use sturdy insulators and (corner) posts, otherwise, these may break before the rope does.
